Day 1: (6-7 hours walk)

Hiking walk starts from Lushoto to Lukozi village through Magamba tropical rain forest where you may see white and black Columbus monkeys, vervet monkey and a lot of different species of trees where you will learn their uses as traditional medicine, but it is quite, cool walking in the forest only the sound natures, with a nice view. Dinner and overnight at a very cool place in Lukozi Malindi at bush baby homestay.

Day 2: (4-5 hours walk)

From Lukozi village you walk along the valleys and sloping hills sides of the inner Usambara mountains, Passing through vegetable farms lined with eucalyptus and Banana plants, you pass through the villages of Kilindi, Mkose and Kagulio until you reach Rangwi village where you spend a night at a nice place of Rangwi Mission Catholic.

Day 3: (5-6 hours walk)

The tour continues uphill through Mambo and Tema villages. These villages are noted for their soil conservation and traditional irrigation farming projects which concentrate on the development of stones or bench terraces to improve their farming. Your guide will tell you a full explanation of shamba tribe farming methods and how they fit into their local environment condition. Mambo and Tema villages present picturesque examples of how the Shamba have combined their traditional architectures – conical thatched earthen houses with introduced architectural styles such as the rectangular ‘’Swahili Houses’’ on a clear day enjoy a nice view of the Kilimanjaro summit, Mambo has a fantastic view whilst in your room, multi colorful sunset, then Dinner and overnight at Magumba lodge.

Day 4: (2 ½ hours drive)

After breakfast walk to Mambo cliff, this walk will provide you with an amusing view whilst on different cliffs, then return back to the lodge through Mambo village where you will have time to explore the village and have a hot lunch from the lodge before you have a final road drive which will take about 2 ½ hours back to Lushoto for drop-off.
