2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT NYERERE NATIONAL PARK/SELOUS

This safari based on Southern Circuit of Tanzania whereby Nyerere National Park also known as Selous Game Reserve is rich in wildlife, from major predators such as lion and leopard, to Nile crocodile and one of the world’s largest populations of hippo, plus big herds of buffalo and elephant roaming the woodlands. The park is also home to one of the largest wild dog populations in Africa

Among the rarer animals, you might spot black rhino, Nyasa wildebeest, sable antelope, eland and Lichtenstein’s hartebeest. There are more than 400 recorded bird species in the reserve, including Pel’s fishing owl

Day 1 | Arrival

When arrives at Dar es Salaam International Airport, Tanzania. Participants are met by a representative of Nkeya Tours and Safaris and transferred to a hotel in Dar-es Salaam.

Day2 | Dar-es Salaam to Nyerere/Selous National Park

Pick up from your hotel in Dar-es Salaam for the morning flight to Nyerere National Park/Selous (taking 40mins depending on the flight).

Upon arrival at Mtemere Airstrip in Selous, you will be met and greeted by our driver guide for a full day game drive (8 to 9 hours) with picnic lunch boxes then drive to your booked accommodation for check-in before Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 | Nyerere/Selous National Park to Dar-es Salaam

After early breakfast, you will depart for an adventurous and romantic sunrise boat safari along the Great Rufiji River to spot hippos, crocodiles, and birds while enjoying the spectacular sunrise.

Thereafter, you will be transferred to Mtemere airstrip for your flight to depart at 14:30 hours and arrive in Dar-es-Salaam at 16:50 hours where your driver will take you back to the hotel.
