Lake Chala is a crater lake in a caldera located on the border of Tanzania and Kenya on the eastern end of Kilimanjaro. This place is a real find for tourists who like panoramic views and quiet recreation. Lake Chala is one of Tanzania’s hidden gems. Fed entirely by underground springs from Mt Kilimanjaro, the turquoise blue and green waters are surrounded by diverse plants, trees and wildlife. Built on the edge of this mystical caldera lake, against a dramatic volcanic backdrop is the Lake Chala, the perfect place to unwind and absorb the serenity and tranquility of this romantic piece of the African bush.
Itinerary:-
Our guide will arrive at hotel with your tasty packed lunch. Your guide will drive to Lake Chala. On the way you will enjoy to see everyday life of Chagga people and also you can see various attractions like the view of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Lake Chala is a beautiful private game reserve overlooking. You will arrive there and your guide will take you down to the lake side, through vividly green flora, with the blue lake ahead of you. It is a stunning and spectacular area perfect for hikers and birdwatchers and in season you might be lucky enough to spot elephants gathering at a distant waterhole. You will spend the day wandering the paths around the lake or across the nearby savannah, where you are likely to see baboons, vervet monkeys and blue monkeys as well as the shy dik-dik and graceful kudu.
If you feel a little more active, you can jump into a kayak and explore the lake further. You will be surrounded by the present of birdsong and gentle plashing of the water as you row.
After enjoy the marvelously adventures, in lake Chala you will drive back to Moshi in the late to Moshi or Arusha
